This week's Katin Vault discovery features an iconic photo from the Surfer's Journal archive featuring legendary surfer of David Nuuhiwa aka "Uncle David" wearing some classic Katin Kontender trunks.

The So Cal-born surfer was best known as a noserider, but regarded by many as the finest surfer of the 1960s. He was also winner of the United States Surfing Championships in 1968 and 1971, and runner-up in the 1972 World Surfing Championships.
