It is with great sadness that we say, rest in peace to surf icon Willy Morris.

The Woodland Hills-born surfer had a smile bigger than the waves he chased.  Morris was born (1962) and raised in the San Fernando Valley, and began surfing at the young age of eight.

From then on he took the surfing world by storm, winning countless surf contests around the world.

Morris eventually went on to compete and win the 1985 Katin Team Challenge,
The shot above is one of our favorite shots of Willy surfing at the Katin Team Challenge contest. Willy went on to win the contest in 1985, beating out big names such as Tom Curren, Mark Richards and Michael Ho. Rest easy Willy. You will be missed dearly.
